Corrour Loop

135km, elevation 1,250m, off road 70%, one night camping

Widely regarded as one of the finest gravel routes in Scotland, the Corrour Loop showcases the raw beauty of the central Highlands. The route features a mix of fast-flowing gravel tracks and rugged old drover roads, set amidst breathtaking scenery, with panoramic views across lochs, moorland, and open Highland wilderness. Expect some short boggy sections that only add to the adventure and sense of invincibility.

We’ll be riding past Corrour Station—the most remote railway station in the UK, unreachable by road. If we time it right, we’ll stop for a well-earned lunch at the station restaurant. The food is excellent, and the chat is cool, really outdoorsy as its only really walkers and cyclists who pass through.

Due to its isolation, this route requires a bit of self-reliance and commitment. There are no short cut options, riders need to carry enough food for two days, be confident in their bikes reliability and be equipped with the right clothing for exposed conditions. It’s a genuine escape into the wild and an unforgettable experience.

Suitable for Gravel and MTB, I'd recommend min tyre width 44mm.

2h 15 mins drive to start.

Early start for this one. Meet at 7am Sat and aim to be on the road 8am at the latest. Returning to Glasgow on the Sunday evening
