Gravel Riding Weekend

Dubbed "Gravelfoyle", Aberfoyle has become the Scottish mecca for gravel riding and is home to the yearly Dukes Weekender gravel event. There's an incredible 200km network of forest tracks, lochside trails, and smooth fire roads all surrounded by stunning Trossachs scenery.

Only group bookings for this trip, min of 3 in group for trip to go ahead, max 4. Route options are endless and therefore easy to cater for groups of any ability level. When booking please let me know roughly your groups wish list in terms of daily distance/elevation.

50 min drive to start. Ride all day with either picnic lunch or a café, returning to Glasgow in the evening so you will need to have arranged accommodation here or elsewhere for at least the Saturday night. E bikes welcome although can only fit two on car at present.

On the Sunday we can either head back to Aberfoyle or take a 20 min drive to the UK’s largest onshore windfarm at Eaglesham, ride the trails there and visit a secret cyclists ganghut hidden in woods. It’s been there for decades and I confidently say you'll leave smitten with the place and the banter.

I’ll still hold a pre ride get together on the Friday night, less focus on kit though and more on route picking.

Meet at 8am Saturday morning and aim to be on road no later than 9am.

What's included;
- Full guided routes tailored to your group.
- Pre-trip preparation and gear/nutrition advice.
- Optional affordable accommodation.
- Transport to and from the start on both days.
- Assistance with mechanicals.
